Setting up a palace on the edge of the arctic wasteland, the Snow King's chilly spirit took pleasure in expanding his kingdom beyond the North Pole. You have the strong mind and passionate heart needed to defeat him. Will you accept the quest?

With a wave of his icy fingers, the Snow King unleashed a bitter frost on the tropical islands across Earth. Palm trees iced over, fish were frozen solid in the seas and birds could no longer take flight. Setting up a palace on the edge of this arctic wasteland, the Snow King's chilly spirit took pleasure in expanding his kingdom beyond the North Pole. To safeguard his empire, he built a chain of 60 puzzles meant to stop even the wisest sage from reaching his castle and breaking the spell.

In Arctic Quest, you set out to solve the puzzles, each of which takes the shape of an animal or other tropical wonder. As pieces of ice fall from the sky, you grab them with your mouse, rotate them and place them on a grid within the puzzle, filling in the shape and returning warmth to the island bit by bit. If the waters that surround your once balmy home fill up with unused ice, your quest will fail. Luckily, a small fire burns on your land, allowing you to melt surplus ice. You can also earn bonuses that grant you various powers, such as the ability to smash excess ice or paint in portions of the grid.

Judy Jarrett  I've been looking all over for Tetris 4000, why can't I find it.  I love that game and would like to buy it.  I looked at a different Tetris and it had a shadow of a piece down where the piece would go and it distracted me, I'd like the game without the shadow.

whiterabbit-uk  This is fabulous.  I woke up this morning and discovered that the giveaway project was giving away your first Arctic Quest game.  I got the second only a few weeks ago, which although has some improvements, is much the same.  A big thumbs up to this game.

As I mentioned in another post, you really should think of creating a subscription system, whereby the consumer gets to choose one game each month for less than half price, and any others for a generous reduction.  Great for the regulars and it will (as a marketing tool) trawl in more customers.  I joined Real Arcade last year and found the idea great.  although my subscription was lapsed when I failed to choose a game one month and I lost it despite paying my monthly subscription.  (they don't allow you to save up your games)

Anyway this is an excellent game worth 7 out of 10 just for it's family entertainment value.
