Lina, the main thing about the Trein's Issue is that you have to do it fast - if you lose too much time, the Army of the Dead will escape the area and then you will not be able to win. You have to complete missions fast and then when you have breaks, conquer the surroundings castles to generate some income. Also, you have to shop for artifacts that protect against death magic: iconostasis, silver cross, crossbow "shining", holy scripture, holy wine. Token of the Archmage will also help. Holy wine you need to buy only one, the second one you can get later from Kopshtad citadel. Iconostasis you can get 2 if you are lucky. I usually have my army of 9: the knight, esquire, cavalry man, Sir Juan, two pilgrims who I develop into monks and then priests (or bishops if lucky), one lay sister (develop into a nun and later into enchantress), female brigand Viola and I hire too a witch doctor. Holy wine can be given to Viola and Sir Juan, iconostasis to esquire, cavalry man, paladin (your knight should become a paladin if you do it right), Viola if she gets the "shining" crossbow. I will shortly write an approximate algorithm how to complete Trein's issue. Lately I can do it without losing a single character. It seems that English version of this game is a bit more forgiving - I am playing Russian version as well and in that one experience is not accumulated as fast as in English one. As somebody already pointed out here, Russian version has one more 2-step scenario called "Scary story" which is really good, second best after "War in Ramen Kingdom". There I love to hire a shadow and develop it into a spirit...

Can anyone tell me how to play Trein's Issue ? I can't even complete the first quest. The headman says Kay and the other man go to town to sell fish and will return in 3 or 4 days. After 3 and 4 days, I return to the village but nothing happens.I go to the pit to search for the chest but I find nothing there. I receive some quests such as escort a merchant to Kopshtad city and rescue the daughter of a townman . After that nobody gives quests to me so I have to wander around.Finally, the Undead breaks loose and I have to flee the country.One time I stay and fight the Undead but after a while they repawn . You guys mention the hermit .Where can I find him? I think I visit every place in this scenario but I have no idea where to find the hermit.Also, Viola mentions treasure under the blue spruce but I have no idea where to find it, either.I search every inch in that forest but find nothing.

Ruadhan: yes, you can complete Trein's Issue scenario. After you kill everyone inside the area, return to the city of Kopshtad and take a task of talking to the mayor - they will appoint you to become a king. And then it's over. To K: the grave is there, if you look closely there is a little cross. Step on it and walk left. There is no other way to finish the task.

Has anyone completed Trein's Issue, or does it go on forever? Apart from that, I am enjoying this game very much - it's very playable and I come back to it again and again.
