Luxor blasts outside Egypt's borders and onto the Silk Road in search of riches beyond imagination. One of the most beautiful and well-known faces in history is also one of its greatest mysteries. When the sacred artifacts of Queen Nefertiti are robbed, her earth-bound spirit calls upon you to find them so her eternal spirit will rise. Wielding the falcon-wing shooter of Horus, you choose your own paths on an expansive journey out of Egypt.
In your quest to reveal and assemble Nefertiti's artifact pieces, you'll explore exotic Persia, Syria, India and other regions of the Near East. Track down each of the robbers before the sands of fate shift and defeat them in an all-new Battle Mode. Your great adventure awaits in Luxor: Quest for the Afterlife!

Comment about the game:
The fifth in the series is good, but I think the whole concept is getting a little tired. There was nothing new introduced apart from the in between games part where you were able, by using a magical lens see where parts of certain artefacts were on the map; and the map, which has made the game length a little longer because you have to replay certain paths to get to certain cities, though this means replaying certain levels. (There are multiple paths). It's hard to explain in a few words so you'll have to check the internet for images of the game to see the map, then you'll know what I mean. The actual boards are okay though the backgrounds are reused frequently, so more could be made for the next one; and the power ups are the same. What I missed was the pyramid builder, which in Luxor 3 (the fourth in the series) you saw progressively being built as the game progressed. I think I'll replay Luxor 3 when I've completed this game.
I love the Luxor series and have all five, but I was a little disappointed with the game overall. That said I've not been able to stop playing it, lol
If there is another Luxor, please please please introduce some new power ups, or mini games. Oh yeah, and when you destroy the treasure chest or beetle, please add more voice overs. I found the "Well Done" repeating every 30 seconds or so became really annoying. If there were several different phrases, it would be much better.
