Hey Ruth, there are at least 50 or so good match three games out there, plus at least a couple of hundred mediocre ones. I must have around 50 at the very least.. It depends upon what style of match three you want. for example pie eyed games have a great one called Circulate, that’s different from the norm, then reflexive sell one called ‘Sproink’, a brilliant one in my opinion. Then there are the three Atlantis ones. The latest one in that series is brilliant and is called ‘Call of Atlantis’. Anyway, this is supposed to be about Finding Doggie.
I was fortunate enough to have Beta tested this and was really pleased to find that it was in the vein of Rome and Cleopatra games as well as 4 Elements. If you like those, especially 4 Elements, you'll love this one. The game play is very similar apart from different power ups, tile sets and story line.
I highly recommend you add this to your match three library. It definitely stands high amongst the cream of the crop in my opinion. It's not too hard, and not too easy, making it an ideal game for the middle of the road gamer or for family fun. The kids will love it, though it’s not necessarily a kid’s game. I think hardened gamers will find it perhaps a little easy, but then, I could be wrong.
If I could only afford one of these games I’d probably go for 4 elements unless I had children, then I’d choose this one.
This is a great game Alawar. Thank you for putting out quality games and not the kludge that some of the game houses are putting out these days; rock on Alawar, my favorite distributor and developer.
