My game won't start.

Download and install the latest version of the game from our website, as there might have been a bug in the game we've already fixed.

Make sure your PC meets the minimum system requirements. These are contained in the readme.htm file in the game folder on your PC.

Check to see if other applications are running. Use your Task Manager to shut down applications and processes you don't need.

Install the latest software updates for your operating system (OS). Make sure you've also installed the latest version of the drivers for your video card and the most recent version of DirectX. To locate the drivers for your video card, visit the website of the company that manufactured the card. You can download DirectX for free at http://www.microsoft.com/windows/directx/downloads/.

Make sure you have the latest version of Adobe Flash Player for Internet Explorer on your PC (http://get.adobe.com/flashplayer/).

If the game still won't start or you're having other technical problems, follow these instructions to launch your PC's diagnostic application, DxDiag:

For Windows XP, click on the «Start» button on your Taskbar and select «Run». Type "dxdiag" in the small window that pops up and then click on «OK». This will launch DxDiag. Then click on «Save All Information». Save the report and then send it to us using the Customer Support Form below.

For Vista and Windows 7: click on the «Start» button on your Taskbar, type "dxdiag" and then click on «OK». After generating the report, click on «Save All Information» to save a copy of the report.

Please attach a screenshot of the error or provide a precise description of the error in your message to us. Describe the issue in as much detail as possible.

My antivirus software says one of your games has a virus. What should I do?

We regularly check all of the files on our website with antivirus software. Some distributives have built-in Adware that antivirus programs might erroneously detect as Trojans. All of the games on www.alawar.com are safe to use.

System requirements

You can play all of our games for free for a trial period of 60 minutes. To make sure the game runs on your computer, download and start it. We especially recommend netbook users do this because not all of our games run correctly on the non-standard resolution screens.

How do I run a game as an administrator?

Sometimes, your OS won't give a game the rights it needs to run. This might cause the game to not start, run with errors or not save your progress. Running the game with administrator rights might help.

For Windows XP:

Check to see if you are already logged in as an administrator:

Use your right mouse button to click on «Start» and see if it contains «Open common menu» and «Common menu explorer». If it does, you are an administrator on your PC.

If you don't see those items, log in as an administrator:

1. Open the Start menu and choose Log Off.
2. When you see a welcome screen with a list of users, press Ctrl+Alt+Del twice. A dialog box in which you can enter an administrator name and password will appear. You might need a password to log in.
3. As soon as you have entered the system with administrator rights, find the game folder.
4. Click on «Start» and choose «My Computer».
5. Choose C:\ and open the folder called Program Files.
6. Find the folder in which the game resides.
7. Click on it with your right mouse button and choose «Properties».
8. In «Properties», choose «Security».
9. In the list of users, choose the administrator and users you'd like to provide with additional rights, and set the permission flags in the lower part of the window.
10. Click on «Apply» and «OK» to apply your changes.
11. Run the game again.

For Windows 7/Vista:

The easiest way is as follows: right-click on the required application icon and choose «Run as Administrator».
